Dear Guest!
We will do our very best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. This includes that you know exactly which services we perform, what we vouch for, and which responsibilities you have towards us. Please observe the following Terms and Conditions which regulate the contractual relationship between you and us and which you acknowledge with your booking.
1. Conclusion of contract
The contract is concluded as soon as the room(s) have been booked and confirmed or, if due to time constraints it is no longer possible to confirm the room(s), the room(s) is/have been made available. In case of multiple booking parties these will be held jointly and severally liable as booker for all obligations in this contract. Group travel organizers and travel agencies must supply an accurate list of participants three weeks prior to arrival. A changing of the number of rooms plus/minus 10 % is possible up to four weeks prior to arrival, free of charge.
2. Arrival and Departure
Unless there is another written agreement, check-in is not possible before 3.30 p.m. on the day of arrival. The check-out for the rooms is 11 a.m. on the day of departure. The guest may only then prolong the specified check-out-time beyond 11 a.m. with express consent. An agreement of this kind can only be made bindingly at reception by no later than 10 p.m. of the day preceding departure.
In the event that the room is not cleared by 11 a.m., half of the room price must be paid until 6 p.m., and the full room price for any time after 6 p.m. Reserved rooms must be checked in to by no later than 6 p.m. on the day of arrival. If this is not the case, the hotel is entitled to dispose of the room otherwise, provided that no later arrival time was expressly agreed to in writing.
3. Services and prices
The contractual services result from the particulars in the reservation confirmation. The agreed prices include applicable value-added tax as required by law. A VAT increase after conclusion of the contract will be charged to the ordering party. If the period between conclusion and fulfilment of the contract exceeds four months the hotel reserves the right to modify prices without prior information. All prices apply in Euro.
The accommodation provider can provide the guest with an adequate substitute accommodation, if this is reasonable for the guest, expressly if the discrepancy is minimal and factually justified. A factual justification is for example given if the room(s) has/have become unusable, guests already occupying the room extend their stay or other important operational measures deem this action as necessary.
The guest can not claim compensation for services booked but not used.
4. Payment
The hotel has the right to request an advance payment of 50% of the agreed price for the reservation. If the hotel, as a travel agent, offers package tours only 10%, maximum 256.00 Euro per person, can be requested. If in such cases the hotel requests a higher advance payment then these payments too are protected against insolvency according to § 651 K BGB (German Civil Code).
The hotel reserves the right to cancel the contract if advance payment is not made to the hotel’s account within two weeks after invoice. Notification of cancellation must follow immediately. If there is no other written agreement between the parties, payment will be in cash, at the latest at departure. If payment upon billing has been agreed on, the ordering party is obligated to pay the invoice within ten days of the invoice date.
The accommodation provider is not obligated to accept cashless means of payment such as cheques, credit cards, or vouchers.
5. Cancellation
All cancellations must be submitted in written form.
a) If the contractual services are not called up, each guest is obligated to pay 100% of the price agreed on for the services booked. The hotel is obligated to act in good faith and otherwise rent out rooms which were not called on in order to avoid losses.
For cancellation at the latest 7 days prior to arrival we will charge 80% of the services booked.
b) For group reservations with a minimum of 5 persons following cancellation and rebooking time limits apply:
Up to four weeks prior to arrival = cancellation free of charge
If cancellation is made later than four weeks prior to arrival or the number of persons participating according to contract decreases by more than 10% the ordering party will be charged 100% of the agreed price for the missing number of participants. Should the hotel have any further costs arising from the booking, these too will be charged to the ordering party.
6. Liability
The contractual party of the hotel, respectively the guest as such or as host, will be held fully liable for costs for damages caused by themselves or their guests. In case of usage deviating from the contractually agreed on usage of the rooms the hotel has the right to immediately terminate the contract. This does not minimize the entitlement to the total agreed on sum.
The hotel reserves the right to cancel the contract if it is no longer possible to provide the services due to force majeure or labour dispute measures, the customer can not derive compensation due to justified cancellation by the hotel. The hotel is liable for property brought into the hotel in accordance with the regulations of the German Civil Code. The hotel will not assume liability if the room or containment from which property was removed was not locked.
A liability for valuables is only then applicable if these are deposited against receipt at the reception desk. Money is also to be left at the reception desk against receipt.
The hotel is liable for the correctness of the description of services in the pamphlets as well as for the conduction of services contractually agreed on. The hotel is not liable for services of mediated hotels.
Important: A liability for high quality clothing or valuables can only then be granted if the staff’s attention was drawn to the high quality of the wardrobe or to the high value of items when depositing these with the staff!
7. Vouchers
a) The voucher can only be used for the amount paid for the voucher and expressly not for the performance stated on the voucher.
b) Vouchers expire exactly 2 years after the date of issue. If there is no date of issue noted the date of the payment for the voucher is applicable.
c) The hotel will only accept vouchers that have been paid in full.
d) A redemption of the sum stated on the voucher is not possible.
e) The voucher can be used for any desired performance in the hotel, only as available.
8. Final provisions
For commercial communication the place of performance and the courts at the hotel’s registered office have jurisdiction. Spoken agreements are only applicable after the hotel has confirmed them in writing. Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid or void, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected thereby.
