Alkaline Balance Weeks at Bollants
Mindful nutrition and gentle relief for the body
Choosing alkaline fasting is an active way to support your health. For a set period, foods that burden the body and contribute to over-acidification are avoided. In their place, low-acid foods take centre stage, including vegetables, herbs, seeds, nuts, and ripe fruit.
Alkaline fasting helps relieve the metabolism and supports the body's natural cleansing processes. It can also be a starting point for a conscious change in diet, often with a positive effect on body weight.
During our Alkaline Balance Weeks, we accompany you with an individually tailored weekly plan, supported personally by our food coaches and by the Felke Med and Spa team. You also receive practical guidance for preparing beforehand and for the time after the fast.
Alkaline fasting time
To get to know alkaline fasting in a structured way or to do it with expert guidance, we recommend our Felke Alkaline Balance Week, lasting five, seven, or ten days. This is an ideal window to review your eating habits and adjust them step by step.
The focus is a long-term shift towards a low-acid diet. One alkaline fasting week per year can help you reflect on your lifestyle consciously and build new, healthy routines.
Alkaline fasting programme
Your stay begins with a personal introductory consultation, where we explain the course and content of the alkaline days. The Alkaline Balance Week includes a body fat analysis and selected healing clay treatments, among others.
Each day we serve three predominantly alkaline meals. Alongside these, alkaline treatments and body care products from P. Jentschura are used. Further products from the alkaline cure are available for use in your room and at home.
The programme is rounded out with gentle detoxifying treatments, movement activities, and relaxation sessions: holistic support throughout your fast.
Nutrition during alkaline fasting
Suitable foods are above all vegetables, herbs, seeds such as pine nuts and sunflower seeds, and nuts. Take care with hazelnuts, which can trigger cross-allergies. With fruit, ripeness matters; citrus fruits, especially lemons, should be avoided.
Acid-forming foods such as meat, fish, gluten-containing grain products, and cow's milk products are deliberately excluded during alkaline fasting. These include whole milk, yoghurt, quark, and various cheeses.
Drinks during alkaline fasting
Still water and selected herbal teas are recommended. In the Felke Med practice, highly purified, actively alkaline water is available to support the fasting process further.
For teas, choose green herbal blends where possible, since red-coloured teas can be acid-forming. Coffee should be avoided entirely during alkaline fasting: not because of the caffeine, but because of the roasting compounds and acids that place a burden on your liver and metabolism.
Tips for healthy eating
- Avoid gluten-containing grain products such as wheat, rye, spelt, and barley wherever possible.
- Largely avoid cow's milk products; prefer goat or sheep's milk products.
- Drink purified, still, alkaline-prepared water.
- Follow a natural eating rhythm: hearty in the morning, balanced at midday, light in the evening. Soups are particularly well suited to the evening meal.
For extra support, the intestine can be accompanied by colon hydrotherapy during alkaline fasting.
Colon hydrotherapy
Colon hydrotherapy offers a gentle form of inner cleansing using temperature-controlled water and serves as a valuable complement to our individual treatment programmes and to therapeutic fasting. The aim is to carefully support detoxification processes and, in keeping with the Felke tradition, strengthen body and mind as a whole.
