In the footsteps of Hildegard von Bingen
Walking the Hildegard von Bingen pilgrimage trail means experiencing history and enjoying nature in equal measure. The great mystic, naturalist, and healer lived and worked here in the Naheland. And in Bad Sobernheim, your own journey of discovery begins, or ends.
The trail stretches over approximately 135 kilometres. It passes through the key stations of Hildegard's life: from the Disibodenberg through Sponheim all the way to Bingen. Those who walk here will encounter quiet forest passages, medieval monastery ruins, and sweeping vineyards. Ideal for anyone who wants more than scenery from their hike.
